The boutique appears like a blossom on the corner of Elm and Lafayette, opening suddenly and drawing the women in town like bees to the colorful displays in the bay windows. Carly is not like those women, she thinks. Cute boutiques are for women in beige linen with black credit cards embossed with their husbands’ names. Not for her.
One morning, as she approaches the corner, she sees lime, lemon, tangerine, dancing in the reflection, illuminating the window, and then The Sundress, in shades of sherbet with spaghetti straps, an eighteen inch skirt, and a price tag hanging from the waist with a number three digits long before the decimal. Not For Her. But she thinks about it.
Every morning, as she approaches the corner, she looks for the reflection of the fabric. For weeks, she thinks about how long it would take her to save up those three digits. By then, the sundress will be out of season, she thinks, and on clearance, maybe. Today, she will stop, she thinks, to admire the dress. She will allow herself this. Just ahead, she sees the glint of the sundress’s fabric warming the glass, speeds up, stops, and through the pane sees a tropical tie dye jumpsuit.

Please note that, due to the nature of hand-dyed yarn, no two skeins of yarn will be exactly alike. I recommend alternating skeins every few rows for projects using multiple skeins of the same colorway. If you order multiple skeins of the same colorway, I will do my best to select skeins that are the closest match.
I dye each skein with professional acid dyes and leave the yarn in the dye bath until the dye has exhausted before rinsing and soaking in wool wash. Minor color bleeding may occur on the first wash, especially with extremely dark colors.
Although I do my best to accurately represent each colorway in product photos, please note that the colors may vary depending on monitor and/or device settings.
