Southwest

So far, Frank and Terry’s RV road trip across the southwest had taken them from Phoenix, to Sedona, and now to Page, Arizona. At the beginning of the trip, the warm, rusty colors of the southwest landscape had been alien to Frank and Terry. The monotony of the flat Salt River Valley surrounding Phoenix was interrupted only by the tall saguaro cacti and Frank and Terry felt bored by the landscape. But as they travelled north toward Sedona, the golden brown soil and sand gave way to striking red rocks. In Sedona, they had gasped with wonder at Cathedral Rock, each layer of sandstone creating a smooth line of color against the backdrop of the bright blue sky. Today they were on a guided tour of Antelope Canyon, surrounded by waves of undulating Navajo sandstone. As Frank and Terry basked in the glow of sunbeams bouncing off red, orange, and yellow rock, they were glad they came on this trip.

Please note that, due to the nature of hand-dyed yarn, no two skeins of yarn will be exactly alike. I recommend alternating skeins every few rows for projects using multiple skeins of the same colorway. If you order multiple skeins of the same colorway, I will do my best to select skeins that are the closest match.

I dye each skein with professional acid dyes and leave the yarn in the dye bath until the dye has exhausted before rinsing and soaking in wool wash. Minor color bleeding may occur on the first wash, especially with extremely dark colors.

Although I do my best to accurately represent each colorway in product photos, please note that the colors may vary depending on monitor and/or device settings.
