Pumpkin Pie

Sam arrived halfway to dessert, sheepishly clutching a thin parcel of napkins. His tired eyes widened at the sight of Sarah, who all but flounced onto him, flanneled arms wrapping tightly around his neck. His thin arms squeezed at her waist. “You smell like butter!” he murmured. They made their way up the narrow stairwell, the smell of turkey growing as they climbed. Through the open door, a chorus of cheerful, half-full mouths called out from the crowded table, some guests standing for hugs or dropping their forks in surprise. Priya quietly took empty platters to the sink, making way for treats. Dan seized upon the pie, slightly cracked from its squished posture in the packed fridge, and sliced eight pieces and sent them around. Hand over hand, they reinforced an unspoken treatise, eyes seeking each other over thick pumpkin custard and golden crumbs. The table warmed with the smell of nutmeg and ginger. His friends were here to listen, only when he was ready. They tried not to stare in great affection as he topped his plate with whipped cream, a smile reaching his eyes.

Please note that, due to the nature of hand-dyed yarn, no two skeins of yarn will be exactly alike. I recommend alternating skeins every few rows for projects using multiple skeins of the same colorway. If you order multiple skeins of the same colorway, I will do my best to select skeins that are the closest match.

I dye each skein with professional acid dyes and leave the yarn in the dye bath until the dye has exhausted before rinsing and soaking in wool wash. Minor color bleeding may occur on the first wash, especially with extremely dark colors.

Although I do my best to accurately represent each colorway in product photos, please note that the colors may vary depending on monitor and/or device settings.
