Intergalactic

Nothing could have really prepared him for it. The liminality.

Suspended over the luminous seam between Earth and the rest of the universe, he's but a mote of dust surrounded by countless stars and light echoing from thousands of years away. Tethered, but only just, by a safety hook and the oxygen line humming in his grip, the only proof that he belongs to anything.

For a while, he watches the edge of the horizon. A band of nascent blue, a saturation that steepens until it becomes more depth than color. Ultramarine sinking towards ink, towards nothing. Somewhere at the bottom of that gradient, the sky lets go of him.

He almost forgets why he's floating here, feeling indescribably small like this, until the static in his ear reminds him that he has repairs to get done. Slowly, he pulls himself along the rungs of the station to his assignment, grumbling all the way. Between tool changes and the long stretches of staring at rigid machinery that make his eyes ache, he leans back to submerge himself in that inexplicable blue nothingness—and he is small again, a single droplet of infinity.

Please note that, due to the nature of hand-dyed yarn, no two skeins of yarn will be exactly alike. I recommend alternating skeins every few rows for projects using multiple skeins of the same colorway. If you order multiple skeins of the same colorway, I will do my best to select skeins that are the closest match.

I dye each skein with professional acid dyes and leave the yarn in the dye bath until the dye has exhausted before rinsing and soaking in wool wash. Minor color bleeding may occur on the first wash, especially with extremely dark colors.

Although I do my best to accurately represent each colorway in product photos, please note that the colors may vary depending on monitor and/or device settings.
