Bloemenmarkt

I see your lipstick on the edge of a mug, and I can taste your smile in half-finished lattes. I think of you as an errant handprint I won't wipe from the bathroom mirror. I picture us running out for milk and getting lost for a coffee. I see you at Bloemenmarkt, caught in the slow wave of tourists, a dreamy waltz in and out of huddled stalls, people emerging excited and hopeful, arms full of presents, only to press against graffitied walls, letting wide carts of trinkets pass. I remember April and the mid-morning fervor pitched in every language and dialect, all clamoring for bulbs, kitsch, ornaments, waist-thick bundles of flowers in wax paper. We pause, nestled against barrels overflowing with tulips. I feel your head against my shoulder tilt upwards, and I look up, and we stare together at a tinny greenhouse ceiling hung with halos of chrysanthemums. I feel my heart hammering. You are all of my bruises and smudges and flourishes. In a crowd, all that remains is your pale green eyes and that bright red lip.

Please note that, due to the nature of hand-dyed yarn, no two skeins of yarn will be exactly alike. I recommend alternating skeins every few rows for projects using multiple skeins of the same colorway. If you order multiple skeins of the same colorway, I will do my best to select skeins that are the closest match.

I dye each skein with professional acid dyes and leave the yarn in the dye bath until the dye has exhausted before rinsing and soaking in wool wash. Minor color bleeding may occur on the first wash, especially with extremely dark colors.

Although I do my best to accurately represent each colorway in product photos, please note that the colors may vary depending on monitor and/or device settings.
