Aurora

The airplane cabin lights have been set dimmer than a nightlight, encouraging passengers to sleep for as much of the nine-hour flight as possible.

You’re still awake though, despite your strategy of getting a window seat so you can rest your head against the wall. The man in front of you has his chair fully reclined, and there is a restless child sitting behind you who spent the first five hours of the flight kicking the back of your seat.

A chime from overhead—another announcement from the captain that you mostly tune out. Until she says, “If you’re seated on the left side of the plane, try looking out your window.”

You slide your window shade up.

A glowing river of light ripples across the night sky, casting shades of green and purple across the boundless midnight blue speckled with stars.

You smile, your forehead resting against the glass of your window, not taking your eyes away from the glowing radiance of the northern lights for even a second.

Please note that, due to the nature of hand-dyed yarn, no two skeins of yarn will be exactly alike. I recommend alternating skeins every few rows for projects using multiple skeins of the same colorway. If you order multiple skeins of the same colorway, I will do my best to select skeins that are the closest match.

I dye each skein with professional acid dyes and leave the yarn in the dye bath until the dye has exhausted before rinsing and soaking in wool wash. Minor color bleeding may occur on the first wash, especially with extremely dark colors.

Although I do my best to accurately represent each colorway in product photos, please note that the colors may vary depending on monitor and/or device settings.
