This Barbie Knits

Oh, Ken. He always goes all in. I was over the moon when he showed up at Beach in that gorgeous variegated sweater, and when he added matching socks? Sublime.

Then came the matching jodhpurs, and legwarmers, and riding cloak, and saddle bag. As an ensemble, it was a bit… busy. Ken needed some solids, stat. I explained the importance of visual balance to him, but he couldn’t hear me through his balaclava. Time to take action.

Of the bajillion gemtastic colors in Ken’s magnificent personal palette, only one had the power to elevate his outfits from majestic to divine: that epic, indomitable PINK. It makes me giddy to knit with it, and I’ve knit him 37 pieces so far. Unfortunately, they all came out on the small side, so I wound up keeping them.

Ken loved the pink bolero jacket I theoretically made for him, though, which means he’s developing an immaculate eye for fashion. As a matter of fact, I think my job here may be done! Great work, Barbie.

Please note that, due to the nature of hand-dyed yarn, no two skeins of yarn will be exactly alike. I recommend alternating skeins every few rows for projects using multiple skeins of the same colorway. If you order multiple skeins of the same colorway, I will do my best to select skeins that are the closest match.

I dye each skein with professional acid dyes and leave the yarn in the dye bath until the dye has exhausted before rinsing and soaking in wool wash. Minor color bleeding may occur on the first wash, especially with extremely dark colors.

Although I do my best to accurately represent each colorway in product photos, please note that the colors may vary depending on monitor and/or device settings.
