Sakura

Shinomiya loved springtime the most.

They draped themselves in spring year-round, from flower-shaped bells for earrings, to the patterned print on their constantly mismatched socks, and the blossomfest of their laundry basket when they neglected chores for over a week. To the color of their laughter when they called you from the other side of the world, breathless while the pink wheels of their luggage squeaked across the flooring of KIX airport, coming home to you.

Before you met Shinomiya, you'd been ambivalent to spring. Growing up away from home for so long had made you forget what it was like, aside from your seasonal allergies. But last year, when you'd finally mustered up the courage to visit after decades abroad, only a little miserable from the humidity, you couldn't help but stop every few paces to stare in awe—at the sky, at the endless streams of petals flowing to the rhythm of some sacred song you couldn't hear.

Today, you feel a little ridiculous with your matching pastel pink outfits, but Shinomiya won't stop smiling, dangerously giddy with joy. Your worries fade, smothered away by love and wondrous senbonzakura in bloom.

Please note that, due to the nature of hand-dyed yarn, no two skeins of yarn will be exactly alike. I recommend alternating skeins every few rows for projects using multiple skeins of the same colorway. If you order multiple skeins of the same colorway, I will do my best to select skeins that are the closest match.

I dye each skein with professional acid dyes and leave the yarn in the dye bath until the dye has exhausted before rinsing and soaking in wool wash. Minor color bleeding may occur on the first wash, especially with extremely dark colors.

Although I do my best to accurately represent each colorway in product photos, please note that the colors may vary depending on monitor and/or device settings.
