Ren Faire

The jousting tournament was set for 2 pm. Sadie and her friends planned to arrive at the tourney area early to get seats in the stands, but for now they browsed the bazaar. One of her companions eyed a sword and another looked at flagons and steins. Sadie started perusing Ye Olde Apothecarie but the closeness in the stall and strong incense pushed her to step out and get some fresh air. It was a warm autumn day, and Sadie regretted wearing her velvet cloak. A sudden blare of trumpets made her look to her right. It was the Queen’s retinue passing through. The Queen looked resplendent in a purple gown but anachronistically wore a microphone headset, projecting her voice into the crowds of lords, ladies, peasants, and faerie folk. The retinue swept through and Sadie spotted paper flower crowns across the way, their ribbons floating in the breeze.

Please note that, due to the nature of hand-dyed yarn, no two skeins of yarn will be exactly alike. I recommend alternating skeins every few rows for projects using multiple skeins of the same colorway. If you order multiple skeins of the same colorway, I will do my best to select skeins that are the closest match.

I dye each skein with professional acid dyes and leave the yarn in the dye bath until the dye has exhausted before rinsing and soaking in wool wash. Minor color bleeding may occur on the first wash, especially with extremely dark colors.

Although I do my best to accurately represent each colorway in product photos, please note that the colors may vary depending on monitor and/or device settings.
