Pine

The bear alone would have been plenty. We were already full of forest, of canopy, of waterfall, and the bear, lumbering over the fallen pine lying in the shallow gulch would have been its own satisfying gift, an answer to a pining we hadn’t known we had in our possession. When the cub crested the other side of the gulch, Mama and I had a hard time remaining quiet. We pointed and shook each other’s arms. But then the second cub came, a rarity for black bears, and yet, then a third cub, and a fourth. We were as set to burst as a ripe mulberry, brimming with awe, with love, and with appreciation that we were the ones there to witness, awash with abundance as the cubs picked their path through the firm-needled pine trees, contradicting the trees’ resolute stature with perfect clumsy ambling.

Please note that, due to the nature of hand-dyed yarn, no two skeins of yarn will be exactly alike. I recommend alternating skeins every few rows for projects using multiple skeins of the same colorway. If you order multiple skeins of the same colorway, I will do my best to select skeins that are the closest match.

I dye each skein with professional acid dyes and leave the yarn in the dye bath until the dye has exhausted before rinsing and soaking in wool wash. Minor color bleeding may occur on the first wash, especially with extremely dark colors.

Although I do my best to accurately represent each colorway in product photos, please note that the colors may vary depending on monitor and/or device settings.
