Here's the thing about delivering mail to the far reaches of the universe: people forget just how much empty space sits between the populated galaxies. Nothing but black and your existential thoughts rattling around like loose change. Some folks originally from Earth called it the cosmic cornfields, and the name stuck.

Weeks like that, sometimes. Adrift with only the navigation panel for company, nothing outside your viewport but a static hush of dark. Slowly, stars will break the silence, distant and faint as scattered smoke, before spilling forth dozens upon dozens at a time.

Some burn so brightly hot and searingly blue the surrounding darkness turns indigo. Other clusters glow magnificently magenta-violet, illuminating great plumes of stellar dust and gas that stretch on for hours before tapering into silvery wisps.

By the time you reach the delivery run—a teal planet tucked into an arm of the Milky Way—you're gliding through what looks like an ocean of liquid glitter. You stare out in awed silence for a while before radioing ahead.

Somewhere down there, someone's waiting on a letter that took three hundred years to arrive.

Please note that, due to the nature of hand-dyed yarn, no two skeins of yarn will be exactly alike. I recommend alternating skeins every few rows for projects using multiple skeins of the same colorway. If you order multiple skeins of the same colorway, I will do my best to select skeins that are the closest match.

I dye each skein with professional acid dyes and leave the yarn in the dye bath until the dye has exhausted before rinsing and soaking in wool wash. Minor color bleeding may occur on the first wash, especially with extremely dark colors.

Although I do my best to accurately represent each colorway in product photos, please note that the colors may vary depending on monitor and/or device settings.
