Grandma is instantly recognizable in any of those old photobooks with that blazing, eye-searingly bright windbreaker she insisted on wearing everywhere. It was an orange so bright you could somehow feel its intensity past your closed eyes, a neon hallmark of any summer vacation abroad as a kid.

The exact details of those vacations have long since faded—but outside the unnamed cruise, the arboretums, the museums and outdoor parks—you do remember this:

Holding grandma's hand at the aquarium, her unforgettably colorful windbreaker fluttering with her stride.

Polyester pressing against your cheek as you dozed while piggyback.

Snacking on Hallabong tangerines way past bedtime, the small basket of them first emptied, then filled again with puzzle-y bits of vivid and fragrant rind.

Piecing together, with your imagination and citrus-sticky fingers, a picture of grandma's jacket.

Please note that, due to the nature of hand-dyed yarn, no two skeins of yarn will be exactly alike. I recommend alternating skeins every few rows for projects using multiple skeins of the same colorway. If you order multiple skeins of the same colorway, I will do my best to select skeins that are the closest match.

I dye each skein with professional acid dyes and leave the yarn in the dye bath until the dye has exhausted before rinsing and soaking in wool wash. Minor color bleeding may occur on the first wash, especially with extremely dark colors.

Although I do my best to accurately represent each colorway in product photos, please note that the colors may vary depending on monitor and/or device settings.
