It was a warm autumn day, and Sadie regretted wearing her velvet cloak. A sudden blare of trumpets made her look to her right. It was the Queen’s retinue passing through. The Queen looked resplendent in a purple gown but anachronistically wore a microphone headset, projecting her voice into the crowds of lords, ladies, peasants, and faerie folk.
